During this 4-part, virtual series, you'll work with small groups and Gallup-certified staff from the WVU Purpose Center and staff from the WVU Leadership and Organizational Development team to learn about your top 5 CliftonStrengths and how to leverage them as a leader.
The four sessions will cover:
Session 1: Strengths-Based Leadership (Part 1): In this session we’ll review our top five strengths and how they help us be successful as leaders and how they might get in the way.
Session 2: Strengths-Based Leadership (Part 2): In this session we’ll learn more about our leadership style and how to lead others with different strengths than our own to build strong partnership for effective collaboration.
Session 3: Needs of Followers: In this session, we’ll learn about the research behind the four needs of followers, how you can better understand those you lead, and how you can better understand the strengths of those you lead.
Session 4: Strengths-Based Feedback and Appreciation: In this session you’ll learn how to more frequently give both positive and constructive feedback and how to incorporate strengths language into daily performance feedback and recognition.
This pod is limited to the first 20 staff members who register. By registering, you are committing to attend all three sessions.
This initiative is a collaboration between the WVU Purpose Center and the WVU Leadership and Organizational Development Team.
