Faculty and Staff Career Development Pod

During this 4-part, in-person series, you'll work with small groups and Gallup-certified staff from the WVU Purpose Center and staff from the WVU Leadership and Organizational Development team to learn about your top 5 CliftonStrengths and how to leverage them as a professional.

The four sessions will cover:

Session 1: Strengths 101: Strengths 101 is an introductory session to help you lay the foundation and continue learning about strengths. You’ll learn some quick history and facts and then dive into some reflection and practical application for your top five strengths

Session 2: Personal Branding: In this 60-minute workshop, we will explore how to create an authentic personal brand by discovering your WHY and values and utilizing your CliftonStrengths®. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of creating intentional personal branding and a personal statement they can use in a variety of ways including on Linked In, networking, or in career advancement/promotion conversations.

Session 3: Marketing Yourself-- Resumes and Transferrable Skills: In this session, we will dive deeper into your top five Clifton Strengths and learn how to use them to enhance your resume.

Session 4: Strengths Based Networking at WVU: Networking is important in every industry and can be challenging for some. In this session, we will dive deep into how to use your unique top 5 to help you learn how to use your natural talents and abilities to network effectively. We will practice networking in this session and learn how to ask meaningful questions. 

This pod is limited to the first 20 staff members who register. By registering, you are committing to attend all three sessions.
