“I chose WVU because this school offers an excellent journalism program and the best opportunities to create and foster in-state relationships. Since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to work in media in some capacity, but as I got older, I realized I had a passion for politics and people. Being able to work within those two spheres, and bridge the gap between your everyday American and the vastly complex political world is what I want to do. Journalism happens to be the best mechanism for me to accomplish this goal through my particular strengths. I want to leave the world better than what I was born into. Improving the world, advancing myself, and those I care about, and making people realize their best potential is my "why."”
