Jessie Barclay is the Student Experience Manager at the WVU Purpose Center. She is a Morgantown, WV native with a master’s in counseling from WVU and a BS in Sociology from Shepherd University. She started her career as a full-cycle corporate recruiter. She then transitioned to work in higher education for 8 years with the WVU Career Services Center helping students and alumni find their dream jobs. In 2022, she became a Gallup®-certified CliftonStrengths® and joined the team at the WVU Purpose Center to focus on helping students holistically through their strengths.

She leads with the following Top five strengths: Positivity®, Woo®, Connectedness®, Arranger®, and Adaptability®.

Jessie resides outside of Morgantown with her husband, daughter, and dog Maya. She loves classic film, making maple syrup on her farm, and learning about the history of food.
