Candice Brown

Assistant Professor, Department of Neuroscience

Candice Brown is an assistant professor for the Department of Neuroscience. Her research program addresses how prior acute systemic infections influence stroke severity and accelerate cognitive decline in mouse models of sepsis, ischemic stroke and Alzheimer’s disease. Her purpose is to do research that will understand brain disorders and ultimately help the citizens of our state, the nation and the globe and to educate students about why research is exciting and important.
